Stratigraphical, microfacies, and ichnological characteristics and depositional environments of the Permo‒Carboniferous Aheimer Formation, western side of the Gulf of Suez, Egypt

Abstract: The palaeoenvironments of the upper Palaeozoic succession in the eastern foot slopes of the Northern Galala Plateau, west of the Gulf of Suez, Egypt, are interpreted based on a detailed study of the sequence-stratigraphic framework, sedimentary facies and trace fossils.
