Abstract: Sir, I am researching the history of the Emergency Medical Service (EMS) Maxillofacial Unit established at Hill End Hospital in St Albans by Rainsford Mowlem and John Lycester Dudley Buxton in 1939 for the treatment of military and civilian war casualties.
