Abstract: This paper aims to investigate the interfacial strength characteristics, particularly the residual strength, of a high-density polyethylene smooth geomembrane (GMB-S)/nonwoven geotextile (NW GTX) interface using a novel ring shear apparatus under high normal stresses and two specimen conditions.
