Abstract

StreptokinaseAccelerated idioventricular rhythm and premature ventricular complex: case report A patient [age and sex not stated] developed accelerated idioventricular rhythm (AIVR) and premature ventricular complex (PVC) during treatment with streptokinase. The patient with inferior ST-elevation myocardial infarction developed transient AIVR triggered immediately after reperfusion with streptokinase 1.5 million units [route not stated]. The transient AIVR were followed by infrequent PVC lasting for 1 hour and disappeared quickly.Author comment: "We report a case of transient AIVR immediately triggered after reperfusion using fibrinolytic agent (streptokinase 1.5 million units), followed by infrequent PVCs lasting for one hour and quickly disappearing in a patient".
