Stress Calculation of Composite Pipe of Multihole Steel Pipe and PE-RT

Abstract: The purpose of this research is to solve stress calculation problem of the composite pipe of multihole steel pipe and polyethylene of raised temperature (PE-RT). The formulas, used to calculate the burst pressure of the composite pipe, were established separately based on three kinds of different strength theories, and also the formula, used to calculate axial stress was developed based on the deviator strain energy theory. The calculation results were compared with the measured values. It shows that the calcu… Show more

“…By the market demand, the wall thickness and the diameter of Q345 seamless steel pipes are developing towards thicker and larger. The problem of unqualified performance is becoming increasingly prominent, while TMCP is not available in seamless steel pipes lines [7][8][9]. Most enterprises usually use Nb, V and Ti microalloying technology, and normalize or temper heat treatment to ensure the performance of steel pipes after hot rolling.…”

“…High-strength structural steel plates with yield strength up to 500MPa can be produced with thermo mechanical control process (TMCP) [1] giving a fine grained material with good ductility and a high strength [2] .There is a great potential for energy saving by optimization of the TMCP process, since no reheat quenching tempering process is needed [3] . The so-called TMCP is that after heating temperature, rolling temperature and reductionare controlled in the hot rolling process(CR, Control Rolling), accelerated cooling control (CC, Control Cooling) is used in the later cooling process.…”
