Stress-Corrosion Cracking Property of Aluminum-Magnesium Alloy Processed by Equal-Channel Angular Pressing

Abstract: Stress-corrosion cracking property of an aluminum-magnesium alloy processed by equal-channel angular pressing (ECAP) was investigated by a slow strain-rate tensile technique in a 3% NaCl solution of pH 4.2 at 303 K. The maximum stress and elongation of the Al-Mg alloy were lower in the NaCl solution than in air. The stress-corrosion cracking property was evaluated by the decrease ratio of maximum stress and elongation of the Al-Mg alloy with NaCl solution, I(δ max ) and I(δ), respectively. I(δ max ) and I(δ) w… Show more

“…In order to study, optimize and extend the life of bonded assemblies, a variety of experimental and analysis models have been developed studying the aspects of formulation, implementation, characterization and aging or durability of adhesives and bonded assemblies. Several researchers studied cracks in the structure (Liu et al 2019;Blond and Mouro 1999;Bouchekara et al 2021), corrosion (Karatzas et al 2013;Ely et al 2017;Chegeni et al2019), or both at the same time (Nakano et al 2012;Umamahshwer Rao et al 2016;Wei et al 2021) with or without repairs.…”
