Abstract: Purpose of Review Diastolic dysfunction is an important, though often underappreciated, cause for exertional dyspnea. Echocardiography enables noninvasive evaluation of diastolic function and filling pressure, but images acquired at rest may be insensitive for detection of exertional abnormalities.
