Stress Intensity Factors for Cracks Emanating from a Circular Hole in Laminated Composite Infinite Plate Under Different Loading Conditions

Abstract: General solutions for determining the stress intensity factors, for cracks emanating from circular hole in laminated composite infinite plate subjected to arbitrary loading, with layers of arbitrary fiber orientations and stacking sequence, are obtained using Muskhelishvili's complex variable method. The stress functions are obtained by evaluating Schwarz's integral for the given boundary conditions.
