Background: Stroke is always a challenge for global health, especially in developing countries. Stroke patients often face many serious complications and have poor quality of life.
Objectives: We aimed to describe the current status of quality of life and identify some related factors in stroke patients treated at traditional medicine hospital of Dak Lak Province in 2023.
Subjects and methods: cross-sectional study on 226 stroke patients aged 18 years and older who met sampling criteria at traditional medicine hospital of Dak Lak Province from January 2023 to June 2023.
Results: The proportion of stroke patients with poor quality of life according to the SS-QOL scale was 87.2%. Some factors associated with poor quality of life of stroke patients are: older age (≥ 60), education level from junior high school or less and modified Rankin score ≥ 3.
Conclusions: the proportion of stroke patients with poor quality of life is high. Some factors associated with poor quality of life of patients are older age (≥ 60), education level from junior high school or less and modified Rankin score ≥ 3.
