Stroke units

Abstract: The medical complications that commonly occur following cerebral infarction, intracerebral hemorrhage, and subarachnoid hemorrhage are reviewed, and the available treatment options are outlined. A literature review is undertaken to assess the effect stroke units have on morbidity and mortality following stroke.
