Abstract: Dynamic mutations in some human genes containing trinucleotide repeats are associated with severe neurodegenerative and neuromuscular disorders—known as Trinucleotide (or Triplet) Repeat Expansion Diseases (TREDs)—which arise when the repeat number of triplets expands beyond a critical threshold.
