“…Besides, synthesis yield is also influenced by synthesis temperature and 90 °C is the optimum temperature for ZDTP 16 synthesis reaction. According to Becchi et al [5] if the reaction temperature used is more than 100 °C, ZDTP product will be decomposed, hence, the yield will be low. The obtained physical form of ZDTP 16 product is like congestion such as porridge with Zn average content of 6.06% which is higher than its theoretical calculation that is 5.35%.…”

“…Sample of coordination complex compound functioned as corrosion inhibitor is ZDTP [3]. In the beginning, numerous ZDTPs used as lubricant additive at automotive industries [5], but, then, it had been known that this compound also may act as anticorrosion [6].…”

“…115 PFB derivatives were used to identify zinc dialkyl-and diarylthiophosphate antiwear engine oil additives by EI-GC/MS and NICI-GC/MS. 116 Reaction is accomplished by keeping a mixture of the dithiophosphate extract with a solution of tetramethylammonium hydroxide and PFB bromide in the ultrasonic bath for 30 min:…”

“…The use of gas chromatography to determine the addi tive is complicated because zinc dithiophosphates should be derivatized prior to analysis [12,13].…”

“…zinc dithiophosphate with subsequent determination by IR spectroscopy [18]. To extract an additive from sam ples of commercial oils, silica was also used in [12,13]. A method of separating zinc dithiophosphates from oil at a Bakerbond 7086 03 cartridge for solid phase extraction is described; hexane (40 mL), dichlo romethane (10 mL), and a mixture of dichlo romethane and acetone (90 : 10 vol, 10 mL) were used successively as eluents; the combined two last fractions were analyzed [12].…”
