Abstract:Ongoing studies to understand the mechanisms behind intracranial aneurysm (IA) pathogenesis characterize intracranial aneurysm as a maladaptive chronic inflammatory disease. An overwhelmingly large number of studies implicate inflammation as a crucial driver of aneurysmal growth and attendant rupture.
