Abstract:The structural indices of the communities of benthic and phytophilous invertebrates were studied in water bodies differing in the levels of external radiation dose rate within the Chornobyl exclusion zone. The macrofauna of invertebrates of all studied water bodies was characterized by low species richness, numbers, and biomass.
