Structural investigation of electrochemically active ceramic anodes for next-generation solid oxide fuel cells (SOFCs) and solid oxide electrolysis cells (SOECs)

Abstract: Electrochemically active ceramic anodes for next-generation solid oxide fuel cells (SOFCs) were studied by controlling the anode structure at the submicro-scale. Specifically, the effect of highly porous metal-ceramic structures on electrochemical properties such as power density and conversion efficiency at an intermediate temperature was investigated.
