“…The pXRD profiles (Figure ) of these powders displayed a set of reflections originating from (111), (220), (311), (400) planes of cubic phase of InSe (ICDD File No. 00–065‐0100) corroborated by elemental composition analysis by EDX [In:Se atom ratios are 48.2:51.8 (1:1.06), 47.7:52.3 (1:1.09) and 48.6:51.4 (1:1.06) for nanostructures synthesized at 240, 270 and 300 °C, respectively] (Supplementary Information Figure S2). The intensity of these reflections indicates their crystalline nature.…”

“…More recently, indium selenide (InSe), a layered material with each InSe layer being composed of a Se–In–In–Se structure, gains increasing attention. Many studies have been performed to understand its charge carrier dynamics, ,, structure stability, electronic structure, , ,, photoluminescence, and surface photovoltaic effect . In addition, the growth , and chemical functionalization of ultrathin InSe nanosheets have been explored, and potential applications based on InSe in nanoelectronics, sensors, optoelectronics, and photodetectors have been sought.…”

“…13,14 This method has been applied to produce a number of high quality nanocrystals including CdSe, CdTe, PbSe, Ag 2 S, Cu 2 S, PbS, Ni 3 S 4 , CdS, ZnS, CuInS 2 Cu 2 ZnSnS 4 and InSe just to mention a few. [15][16][17][18][19] As discussed above, catalytic performance of Ni x Se y depends on the stoichiometric ratio. Similarly, theoretical calculations for I 3 À /I À redox process suggest that the metal sites in a metal chalcogenide are more active compared to the chalcogenides sites.…”
