STRUCTURAL, MORPHOLOGICAL AND OPTICAL PERFORMANCE OF SYNTHESIZED Co, Mn/ZnO NANOCOMPOSITES

Abstract: The pure Zinc Oxide, Cobalt doped Zinc Oxide and Manganese doped Zinc oxide nanoparticles were synthesized using Co-precipitation method. This work aims to study the effect of doping on the structural, morphological, and optical properties of the synthesized pure and doped ZnO nanoparticles. The structural and morphological change of the nanoparticles were examined by using X-ray Diffraction analysis (XRD), Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) and Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR). The elemental ana… Show more

“…5a at a 2 μm scale shows agglomerated globular structures, irregular pores, and a non-uniform surface, all in accordance with a previously reported morphology for polyaniline and its derivatives. 35,48 The presence of both elongated needles and globular morphologies in the polymer films has been reported by Rodrigues de Oliveira et al to be consistent with the C–N bonds forming during polymerization at the carbon in the ortho position of the repeating structure. Thus, the polymer morphology from Fig.…”

“…34,42 PPA-specific bonds are identified at 1490 cm −1 and 1560 cm −1 for CC benzenoid and CC quinoid, respectively, with these bonds only appearing when repeat units are present. 34,35 The ratio of the quinoid and benzenoid in the polymer reveals a comparable ubiquity of these bonds in the polymer backbone.…”

“…FTIR spectrum of Cu‐incorporated ZnO NPs was comparable to the ZnO NPs except for the weak vibrational peak at 574 cm −1 , representing a CuO bond (Deepak et al, 2019; Samavati et al, 2016). In Mn‐incorporated ZnO NPs, a bending vibration peak appeared at 640 cm −1 , belonging to the MnO bond (Kayani et al, 2020; Rathidevi et al, 2020). While in the Cu‐Mn co‐incorporated ZnO NPs, the vibration peaks at 640 and 580 cm −1 correspond to the Mn and Cu in the ZnO lattice (Aydin et al, 2019).…”

“…Additionally, the peak at 2350 cm −1 indicates the presence of CO 2 molecules in the air, which are trapped by the nanoparticles during the FTIR measurement. 51 The peaks at 3670 cm −1 and 3785 cm −1 represent the stretching modes of O-H bonds, indicating the presence of hydroxyl groups in the samples. 46,52 Optical characteristics.-The optical characteristics of pure and CZO nanoparticles were investigated by UV-DRS.…”
