“…Polyphosphazenes added in small amounts sharply decrease the viscosity of polyethylene during extrusion and permit production of extrudates with good surface quality. 241 A decrease in the melt viscosity by approximately 40% was observed for mixtures of the ABS plastics with 10% of poly[bis(trifluoroethoxy)phosphazene]. The increase in the elasticity of samples, formed from these mixtures, at 225 ± 240 8C (processing temperatures) is presumably due to the orientation effect induced by the mesomorphic character of polyphosphazene in this temperature range.…”
