Structural State and Mechanical Behavior of Fe–Cr–Ni Maraging Steels

Abstract: The structure and the mechanical properties of low-carbon Fe-Cr-Ni maraging steels with molybdenum and titanium additives that were measured during static and cyclic deformation are studied in comparison with the structure and the mechanical properties of an austenitic-martensitic steel of the same alloying system. The mechanisms of fatigue crack nucleation and propagation are investigated by fractographic analysis.
