Structural variations and distributions of human Body follicles

Abstract

Background: Mammals have a special characteristic called a follicles, where other structures or materials can form and have many clinical significances. Although there are several body follicles, the ovarian follicle is the most well-known type. Many other forms of follicular patterns are known as (follicular dendritic cells in the lymph node, follicular stellate cells in the pituitary, etc….) but they are not focused yet. So, we designed this study to define and locate other types of body follicles and correlate their structure and functions. We carried out a search of textbooks, studies cited in google scholar and PubMed up to 2022. The main anatomical, histological, and physiological characteristics of the various human body follicle types were compiled in this review, along with an examination of the distribution of body follicles and the clinical relevance of their various configurations. Conclusion: this review could be the basis for improvement and progression in the field of research on human body follicles.
