Using an X‐ray method the lattice parameters a and c for α‐ZnP2 and integrated intensities of the reflections 00.20 and 440 are precisely measured in the temperature range from 80 to 450 K. An unexpected succession of phase transitions is revealed, which are exhibited in the form of binary breaks on the temperature dependence of the lattice parameters. Between the breaks the lattice parameters do not change and the intensities of the reflections have minima at the points of anomalies. It is shown that this succession of phase transitions is connected with the modulated structure found in α‐ZnP2, which is a soliton lattice, while the temperature dependence of the soliton lattice period represents a Devil's staircase.
