Abstract:Fusaricidin, a lipopeptide antibiotic, is specifically produced by Paenibacillus polymyxa strains, which could strongly inhibit Fusarium species fungi. Fusaricidin bio-synthetase A (FusA) is composed of six modules and is essential for synthesizing the peptide moiety of fusaricidin.
