“…The developed in-situ monitoring system was verified on hard and wear-resistant alloys capable of maintaining their properties at temperatures of 900–1150 °C. The 12 mm long workpieces of hard alloys of VK6O (analogue of M05 by ISO, Table 1) [95, 96, 97] and T15K6 (analogue of P10 by ISO, Table 2) grades [98, 99, 100, 101, 102] were processed on an industrial 4-axis EDM machine AgieCharmilles CUT 1000 (GF Machining Solutions, Bern, Switzerland) using a 0.25 mm diameter brass wire with deionised water as medium. To induce wire tool breakage, the pulse frequencies were changed manually and gradually during processing up to the moment of wire breakage.…”
