Abstract:Implicit systems provide a general framework in which many important properties of dynamic systems can be studied. Implicit systems are especially relevant to behavioural systems theory, the analysis and synthesis of complex interconnected systems, systems identification and robust control. By incorporating algebraic constraints, implicit models provide additional versatility relative to the standard input–output framework. Problems of robust stability in implicit systems lead in a natural way to non‐standard … Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
