Strukturelle ver�nderungen der tubulusmembran beim sogenannten Sertoli-zell-syndrom

Abstract

In the so-called Sertoli cell syndrome nearly always club shaped invaginations of the basement tubule membrane with intact cellule membrane can be seen. These protuberatons ultrastructurally prove to be multiplicated piles of the lamina densa of the basement membrane. The cells in the Sertoli cell syndrome show a quantitatively and qualitatively reduced pattern of enzymes in contrast with the active Sertoli cells.

Laminin and type IV collagen in the human testis

In addition, Luders (1976) has reported the invaginations to be composed of multiple layers of the lamina densa of the basement membrane. These descriptions are in agreement with the present results, because laminin and type IV collagenboth known to be components of the basement membranewere found in the protrusions.…”
