The purpose of this study is to translate the Attitudes Towards Career Counselling Scales (ATCCS) into Malay version. The researcher also tested the validity and reliability of the instrument using exploratory factor analysis (EFA) and confirmatory factor analysis (CFA). A total of 500 final-year undergraduate students at four public universities in Malaysia were included in this study (100 for EFA, 400 for CFA). There are four experts involved in the translation process. The three experts consist of a university lecturer in the field of counseling and a translation specialist. The face and content validity of the instrument involved five experts and resulted in a high validity score of 0.95. Two factors were formed through EFA, namely value and stigma, based on an eigenvalue of above 1. The total cumulative percentage is 64.95% and is considered strong. All items have factor loading values above .6. The result of the CFA analysis shows that the ATCCS measurement model had fulfilled the fit index RMSEA (0.089), CFI (0.926), TLI (0.914) and Chisq/df (4.191). The results also show that convergent validity and composite reliability were achieved. These two factors have an internal consistency value (Cronbach's alpha) of value α =.95, stigma α =.88, total ATCCS α =.85, and these values are within an acceptable range. The conclusion from the EFA and CFA conducted is that the Attitudes Toward Career Counselling in the Malay version meets the criteria of validity and reliability of the instrument to be used by future researchers in determining students' planned happenstance skills among university students.

В статье рассматриваются актуальность и важность процесса карьерного консультирования в организациях высшего и послевузовского образования. Для определения сущности карьерного консультирования были проанализированы труды ученых в данной области. На основе анализа актуальных современных теорий карьерного развития были разработаны вопросы для анкетирования и интервью. В эксперименте принимали участие студенты выпускных курсов (60 респондентов) и сотрудники (15 респондентов) Некоммерческого акционерного общества «Торайгыров университет». В числе сотрудников были опрошены специалисты центра карьерного консультирования и эдвайзеры выпускных курсов НАО «Торайгыров университет». Данные, полученные в результате эксперимента, помогли определить структуру процесса карьерного консультирования в ОВПО. Среди важных структурных компонентов карьерного консультирования мы выделили: (1) Оценка личности и интересов студентов. Карьерный консультант помогает студентам определить их интересы, ценности и личностные характеристики, которые повлияют на выбор подходящей карьеры; (2) Разработка карьерного плана. Карьерный консультант помогает студентам определить карьерные цели и составить план действий для достижения этих целей; (3) Поиск работы. Карьерный консультант обучает студентов навыкам поиска работы, составлению резюме, подготовке к собеседованию и созданию нетворкинга; (4) Стажировки и практики. Карьерный консультант помогает студентам подобрать подходящую стажировку или базу практики, чтобы набрать опыт работы в своей области; (5) Совет по развитию профессиональных навыков. Карьерный консультант помогает студентам определить траекторию индивидуального профессионального и личностного развития после окончания обучения.

The aim of this study was assessing and ranking in terms of practical importance of the responsibilities and professional skills of sports counselor included in the specific occupational standard, in the vision of sports professors and coaches; identifying the level of correlation between responsibilities and professional skills of sports counselor. Methods: The research included 471 specialists in physical education and sports training the professional competencies and responsibility questionnaire of the sports counselor was applied (qrcpsc) and divided in 2 scales: scale 1: Responsibilities of the sports counselor and scale 2 professional competencies of sports counselor, assessed by participant using SPSS and the Likert scale. Results: Cronbach's Alpha for the questionnaire QRCPSC of the scale 1 Sports counselor responsibilities questionnaire was α = .947, and for scale 2 Professional competencies of sports counselor was α = .963, all value suggesting that the items had high internal consistency. It is guiding sportspeople in solving the professional problems which they have in different moments of their career and giving sports advice for the professional problems. Conclusion: Career and practical development in sports counseling is based on the impact which responsibilities and professional competency of sports counselors are reflected in the vision of experts with major influence on student's mentality, sports recreational and physical education experts.
