Abstract:This survey article introduces the main areas of research into the English-language Robinsonade in the context of the Robinson Crusoe tercentenary of 2019. It identifies the major fields of scholarly investigation as generic and formal approaches, with attempts made at defining the Robinsonade, as well as readings from postcolonial, feminist and intermedial perspectives.
