Rajneesh Kumar
et al.

Abstract: during the kharif season 2022. A Randomized Block Design (RBD) with three replications were used to study variability, correlation and path including 20 Green gram germplasm for the 13 traits studied viz. days to 50% flowering, days to maturity, plant height, number of primary branches, number of clusters per plant, number of pods per plant, number of pods per cluster, number of seeds per pod, pod length (cm), seed index (g), biological yield per plant (g), seed yield per plant (g) and harvest index. Finding r… Show more

“…In general, the radicles of the studied Plantago species were more affected by an increase in Zn, Cu, and Fe doses than the cotyledons. Iron toxicity can result in the presence of leaf chlorosis, darkening of roots (74), and reduction of the total water content (75), leading to reduced plant growth (76). The results regarding radicle and cotyledon tolerance indices indicated that the lowest concentrations of these metals induced an increase in tolerance, whereas high concentrations decreased this parameter.…”

“…When two desired traits are positively correlated, the plant breeder can focus on improving both traits at once, however negative association will prevent the characters from expressing themselves similarly [16]. Comparable results were documented by [32][33] for days to 50% heading, days to maturity, plant height, number of productive tillers per plant, ear length, ear weight, number of grains per ear, harvest index, chlorophyll index, test weight and biological yield per plant [30][31][32][33][34][35].…”
