“…Thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) contains two-phase microstructure which are soft segments and hard segments. [9][10][11] The hard sections are incompatible with the soft section in thermodynamics, while these two phases are interconnected throughout each other. The whole system benefits from these two phases since that the hard parts afford spatial stability and the soft phases are conducive to good ionic conductivity owing to the soft segments don't form ionic cluster after being dissolved alkali metal salt.…”

“…The advantages of polymer electrolyte are their elasticity, ease of processing into thin films of large surface area, electrochemical stability and leak-proof nature which make it applicable for batteries, fuel cells, supercapacitors, electrocromic devices and chemical sensors [1]. An excellent polymer electrolyte should have a low degree of crystallinity, while a good mechanical property should be maintained for practical applications and ease of film fabrication [2] During the formation of polyurethane, diisocyanate crosslinks with polyether monomer to form a segmented polymer having a general structure (A-B) n , where B is the soft segment that formed from one or more of polyether or polyester polyol and A is the hard segment formed by extending a diisocyanate with low molecular weight diol or diamine [3]. Single step polymerization of polyurethane gives off an extreme amount of heat while forming urethane bond and might caused shrinkage problem.…”
