Studies on interpentrating polymer networks of polyurethane and polybismaleimide. I. Polyurethane and bismaleimide-urethane copolymer

Abstract: Abstract:The interpenetrating polymer networks (IPNs) of polyurethane (PU) and the mixture of bismaleimide (BMI) and the 2-hydroxylethyl methacrylate (HEMA)-terminated PU prepolymer (HPU) were prepared by using a simultaneous polymerization technique. The effects of the PU molecular weight and the amounts of the PU on the mechanical properties, thermal stability, and dynamic mechanical properties are discussed.
