Abstract:Various 2-phenyloxy-4,6-bisarylhydrazino-1,3,5-triazines(3a-f) were prepared by reaction of 2- phenyloxy -4,6-dichloro -1,3,5-triazine and various aryl hydrazine derivatives. All the 3a-f derivatives were characterized by elemental analysis and IR spectral studies. All the compounds were screened for microbial activity against gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria.
“…After drying, the product with melting point of 136-137 °C was obtained [43]. In the next step the product was reacted with excess hydrazine under reflux for 48 h [44,45]. Hydrazine was used as the reactant and also solvent in the second step of the reaction.…”

“…The solid was collected and washed thoroughly with deionized water [42]. Excess hydrazine reacted with the product overnight under reflux as the second step [43,44]. Then the solid product was filtered and washed (Scheme 1).…”
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
