2-Hydroxy-1-acetonaphthoneoxime as analytical reagent: Gravimetric determination of nickel and palladium

“…The present study shows that 2-hydroxy-I-acetonaphthoneoxime can be used for the gravimetric determination of copper, nickel, and palladium. The reagent has better gravimetric factors than most of the oximes reported in the literature like e-hydroxyacetophenoneoxime (Poddar 1957), o-vanillin-oxime (Goel et al 1968), 2-hydroxy-5methylpropiophenoneoxime (Prakash et al 1968), resacetophenoneoxime (Bhatki and Kabadi 1953)and 5-ethyl resacetophenoneoxime (Naik et a11976) for the determination of nickel and 2-hydroxy-5-methylpropiophenoneoxime (Prakash et 01 1966), resacetophenoneoxime (Rajareddy 1967) and 2-propionyl-I-naphtholoxime (Patkar et a11973) for the determination of palladium.…”
