“…We therefore developed the simultaneous cable-deployment model, which considered cable flexibility, using a simple cable model of a constant cross-section, and showed the possibility of reducing the total propellant for controlling the cable dynamics in preceding studies. 8,9) In the current study, we analyze the cable dynamics and stress for the proposed cable deployment method under the assumed deployment conditions using a realistic model in which the cross-section through the cable was changed as the stress in the cable became constant throughout.
