Study of Carbon Nanotubes with a Casson Fluid in a Vertical Channel of Porous Media under MHD and Dufour Effect

Abstract: An analysis is conducted to investigate the problem of heat/mass transfer in MHD free convective flow of Casson-fluid in a vertical channel embedded with saturated porous medium past through carbon nanotubes in the form of single-wall carbon nanotubes (SWCNTs) and multiple-wall carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) with engine oil as base fluid. In this article, the impact of CNT’s on velocity, temperature, shear stress and rate of heat transfer of the nanofluid has been investigated and studied graphically for the effect… Show more

“…The investigation on nanofluid with special emphasis on thermal radiation over a porous vertical cylinder is done by Kabeir et al [19]. [20,21] investigated the behaviour of CNT's in a vertical channel for human blood flow and Casson fluid. Hazarika et al [22] developed a numerical solution through finite difference scheme for the impact of thermophoresis and dissipating heat on hydromagnetic fluid over a stretching sheet in presence of nanoparticles Cu, Ag and Fe 3 O 4 .…”

“…Its unique rheological properties make it particularly suitable for these applications. Recently, Hazarika and Ahmed (2021) conducted a study on the flow of Bi-viscous Bingham fluid containing carbon nanotubes through a vertical porous channel. In their research, they investigated the behavior and characteristics of this fluid system.…”

“…Apart from these studies, investigators [27][28][29][30][31][32][33] had investigated analytically and numerically for the heat-mass transport in porous media due to the application of magnetic fluid with various configurations. Hazarika et al [34] has presented the analytical analysis of Cu-water nano-fluid of natural convection hydro-magnetic heat transport in a Darcian porous regime with diffusion-thermo.…”
