Abstract:This study aimed to investigate the ability of calcium carbonate mineral (Calcite) and calcareous soils as an adsorbent to remove heavy metals (Cu) in aqueous media by using the mechanism of adsorption phenomena. Isotherm adsorption was conducted using the Batch technique, using different Cu concentrations of (0, 5, 10, 50 and 100) µg Cu.ml-for 24 hours. at 298K.
