Study of DD-reaction yields from the Pd/PdO:Dxand the Ti/TiO2:Dxheterostructure at low energies using the HELIS setup

Abstract: The results of measurements of the DD-reaction yields from the Pd/PdO:D x and the Ti/TiO 2 :D x heterostructures in the energy range of 10-25 keV are presented. The neutron and proton fluxes are measured using a neutron detector based on 3 He-counters and a CR-39 plastic track detector. Comparisons with calculations show the significant effect of DD-reaction yield amplification. It was first shown that the impact of H + (protons) and Ne + ion beams in the energy range of 10-25 keV at currents of 0.01-0.1 mA on… Show more

“…In the past few years, a series of studies on the DD reaction yields in deuterated crystalline structures at 10-25 keV deuteron energies, and also on the DD reaction stimulation by ion beams [10][11][12][13][14][15] and X-ray radiation [16,17], have been carried out using the HELIS facility. The palladium [10,12], titanium [11,13] and CVD diamond [15] deuterated structures were used as targets.…”
