More recently, the effects of a MF on the growth and development of different crops, such as T. aestivum [Fischer et al, 2004; Alikamanoglu and Şen, 2011], Zea mays [Florez et al, 2007; Shine and Guruprasad, 2012], Glycine max [Atak et al, 2007; Shine et al, 2011; Asghar et al, 2016], Solanum lycopersicum [Martinez et al, 2009; De Souza et al, 2010], and Pisum sativum [Carbonell Padrino et al, 2000; Bahar et al, 2013] have been reported. For instance, exposure of seeds to a MF as a presowing treatment enhanced the germination rate and speed in G. max , increased fresh and dry weight in Zea mays , and increased shoot and root length in T. aestivum [Florez et al, 2007; Shine et al, 2011; Payez et al, 2013].…”
