Study of Ferrous Residue From the Brazilian Tin Industry and Perspectives of Its Recovery

Abstract: FeSn is a residue of the tin industry, which can be recirculated during processing of Cassiterite. A disadvantage of its recirculation is that it decreases furnace capacity, leading to lower tin production rates. Therefore, an optimization of the actual processing circuit can be related to the removal of FeSn from the system, which should be further processed in another equipment.
