Abstract:Friction stir processing (FSP) at 1120 rpm was performed to refine surface characteristics of a magnesium alloy which included tri-calcium phosphate. Hardness tests showed that measurements of average hardness and the hardness of the surface layer have been significantly altered by the dispersed nanoparticles.
