Study of nuclear dependence of scaling in 800-GeV proton interactions with emulsion nuclei

Abstract: Experimental results on the scaled multiplicity distribution of secondary particles produced in interactions of 800-GeV protons with emulsion nuclei are presented and discussed. The validity of Koba-Nielsen-Olesen scaling has been observed in interactions with nuclei. It has been found that the negative-binomial distribution describes well the scaled multiplicity distribution of secondary particles in proton-emulsion interactions.
