Study of nuclear effects in the inclusive neutrinoproduction of the δ^{++}(1232) isobar

Abstract: For the first time, the inclusive neutrinoproduction of ∆ ++ (1232) from nuclei is investigated. The total yield of ∆ ++ (1232) in neutrino-nuclear interaction is found to be n νA = 0.080 ± 0.011, being compatible with n νN = 0.091 ± 0.013 inferred for neutrino-nucleon interactions. It is shown that the ∆ ++ (1232) inclusive spectra on variables x F , z and the isobar total momentum for νA interactions are shifted toward lower values respective to those for νN interactions, that can be caused by secondary intr… Show more

“…The differences in modeling approaches used by the GENIE and NuWro neutrino generators provide some perspectives. Alteration of Fermi-motion modeling and inclusion of in-medium modification of the ∆(232) resonance [82], may generate offsets of ∼ 5 MeV. A shift of similar magnitude may also arise from constructive interference between the ∆ and nonresonant pion production amplitudes [16].…”
