Neutron and Mössbauer measurements are carried out for the Fe3−xAlxSi alloys with x approximately equal to 0.1, 0.2, and 0.3. The alloys exhibit DO3 type of structure in which the excess nonferrous atoms locate preferentially at the so‐called B site. The Mössbauer spectra consist of the broadened Zeeman sextets and a low‐field part which contribution to the spectra increases with the aluminium content. The origin of this low‐field part, as well as the broadening of the line‐widths, are discussed.
