Abstract:Diffusion-controlled deactivation of excited phenanthrene and oxidation of triplet aryl-nitrene by molecular oxygen were used to determine the energetics of oxygen jump rates in the set of glassy polymers: poly(methyl methacrylate), poly(n-butyl methacrylate), polycarbonate, polystyrene, and polysulfone.
