Abstract:The waters of the Kura River and the irrigation canals are phytotoxic and reduce the percentage of germination of cress-salad and barley seeds in comparison with pure water by 10-12%. After cleaning them on adsorbents, waters lose the phytotoxicity properties. This makes it necessary to solve the problems of cleaning irrigation waters from organic and inorganic pollutants in order to achieve sustainable development of agriculture in the country.
