Abstract: Streptomyces ghanaensis ATCC14672 produces moenomycin A, a potent phosphoglycolipid antibiotic that targets bacterial peptidoglycan glycosyltransferases (PGTs). The genetic and biochemical aspects of assembly of moenomycin molecule is well understood.
