Abstract:The liquid-phase hydrogenation of benzene on metal-polymer complexes, which were prepared on vinylpyridine polymers containing functional groups and salts of transition metals such as nickel, palladium, and platinum, was studied. Poly-4-vinylpyridine and poly-2-methyl-5-vinylpyridine were used as vinylpyridine polymers. Hydrogenation was carried at a temperature of 20-600 C.
