Study of the monosaccharide composition of water-soluble polysaccharide complexes and pectic substances of Pimpinella anisum herbs

Show more

“…The highest TPC value was 508.5 mg GAE/100 g kb in ScR134a extract, while the lowest value was 27.77 mg GAE/100 g kb in HDC extracts, the highest antioxidant capacity was IC 50 = 1.58 mg/mL in ScCO 2 -H and the lowest was IC 50 = 0.07 mg/mL in Soxhlet extracts. Also, as we mentioned above, three lignin–carbohydrate–protein complexes were purified from hot water seed extracts of Pimpinella anisum by a combination of anion-exchange, gel filtration, and hydrophobic interaction column chromatographies [ 40 , 46 ].…”

“…All this classifies anise as a functional food against infectious diseases. [17][18][19] Traditional benefits of Anise seed products Anise seed as well its oil has discovered application in several traditional medications because of their exclusive health endorsing as well as disease stopping functions. A concoction of seeds in hot water is used as a carminative, antiseptic, diuretic, digestive and a folk remedy to insomnia and constipation.…”

“…Anise can also be frequently present in cough syrups as well as cough drops because of its anti-microbial qualities. [17][18] Add anise seeds within sweet foods just like pastries, cakes as well as cookies. The moderate liquorice taste boosts the sweetness.…”

“…Carbohydrates are the main part of the plant body, which accounts for most of the dry mass of plants, providing the skeletal functions of the body and cellscellulose, hemicellulose and pectin [3]. Another important function of polysaccharides is to provide energy to plant organisms, turning into monosaccharides [4].…”
