“…Follow-up measurements of the non-fusion reactions pn → ppπ 0 π − [9] and pn → pnπ 0 π 0 [10] with the WASA detector at COSY and np → npπ + π − [11] with the HADES detector at GSI showed that also these reactions, which are partially of isoscalar character, show the d * (2380) resonance in agreement with expectations based on isospin coupling.…”

“…In ref. [20], the corresponding amplitude is deduced from the modified Valencia model, which gave a fair description of np → npπ + π − measured by HADES at the same energy [21]. A realistic test of the contribution of the double-Δ excitation to the e + e − production can be only supplied once the effect is included as a coherent contribution in a full model including the nucleon and Δ(1232) graphs, like the OBE calculation [20] and if all distributions are provided for a comparison with the differential distributions measured in the exclusive np → npe + e − .…”

“…The measured yield was corrected for the detection and the reconstruction inefficiencies and losses in the HADES acceptance due to the incomplete azimuthal coverage. The overall normalization error was estimated to be 7%, where 4% was derived from the error of the reference differential cross section [25] and almost 6% was the systematic error of the reconstruction of events with elastic scattering in HADES [21].…”

“…The separation of the primary deuteron and secondary beams at focus point F6 is provided by the modernized analyzing magnet SP-41 [35]. The physics at F6 is related with the baryonic resonances spin properties studies at the energies between 2 and 6 GeV of the deuteron kinetic energy and includes the measurements of the tensor A yy and vector A y analyzing powers in quasi-elastic and inelastic A(d, pp)X reaction; of the tensor A yy and vector A y analyzing powers in the inelastic deuteron scattering A(d, d )X [47] and A(d, d )π ± X reactions; investigation of the vector analyzing power in neutron induced reactions (with the proton spectator detection) like np → pn, np → ppπ − , np → npπ + π − [49,50] etc. For these experiments the full size RPC wall is required.…”
