Study of the spectroscopic, magnetic, and electrical behavior of PVDF/PEO blend incorporated with nickel ferrite (NiFe2O4) nanoparticles

Abstract: Pure nickel ferrite nanoparticles (NiFe2O4 NPs) were prepared by the solvothermal method. Different concentrations of NiFe2O4 were added to PVDF/PEO blend to prepare the PVDF/PEO-NiFe2O4 nanocomposite films. The films were characterized using different techniques in detail. Pure NiFe2O4 NPs images have a semispherical shape and roundness of the edges, with average particle size ~ 4.3–8.8 nm, and polycrystalline structure. Pure NiFe2O4 NPs show that micrometrical agglomeration suggests the presence of pore-free… Show more

“…The slender magnetic hysteresis loop observed in the NBE composite signifies its soft magnetic characteristics, rendering it easily magnetizable and demagnetizable. The reported M s and H c values in our study align with recently published data. The magnetic characteristics of the inverse spinel structure (MFe 2 O 4 , M = Ni/Co) with the formula (MFe) B (Fe) A can be elucidated by considering the distribution of the cations. In this structure, the magnetization is influenced by the arrangement of M 2+ ions, which occupy octahedral sites, while both Fe 2+ and Fe 3+ ions are found in both the octahedral (B) and tetrahedral (A) sites.…”
