Study of the Σ0p Final State from K Absorptions

Abstract: We present the study of the Σ 0 p final state produced in the K − absorption processes in the Carbon entrance wall of the KLOE detector. The analysis of the several kinematic variables measured for the Σ 0 p final state and the comparison to simulations allowed us to extract the contribution of the K − + pp → Σ 0 + p process without any further final state interaction. This contribution is found to be only 10% of the total yield originating from the K − absorption on two, three or more nucleons.
